FAME

The famous ten series pieces of Marilyn Monroe originally created by Andy Warhol in the 60s represents Warhol’s fascination with Fame. Monroe being the popular face of the culture at the time was the perfect muse for his piece.

My work narrative speaks similar to how Marilyn spoke to the culture of her time. While some loved her. Others viewed her as promiscuous. It was a love hate situation. The addiction of Fame. The multiple colors depict the many emotions of Kanye. Colorful and intriguing yet almost appearing psychedelic and alluring. Exhibiting a sense of unstableness. His duplicated identical expressions on the ten canvases reveals a sense of permanence. The eyes of the Star colors are left alone to reveal his amenableness state. Leaving the viewer with these questions resonating as they observe. Is Kanye addicted to FAME or are they.
